In 2004, I started my matriculation at Morgan all bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to tackle college life. I had all the preconceived notions about college. This should be simple enough, study hard, party harder. Little did I realize the time I really had to put into classes, how little I would party, the expenses I would incur and the headaches from unwanted situations with friends, family and school that I would get.
For many first year students, the university may be their first experience living away from home for an extended period of time. It is a definite break from home. The individual's usual sources of support are no longer present to facilitate adjustment to the unfamiliar environment.
Last semester, student were very irate with the below average status of the new student center. Students will now be happy to come into the student center and be amazed with all of the newest upgrades made to the center. It was long awaited for the upgrades and improvements are still coming your way.
In today's increasingly fast-paced world, the threat of crime is always apparent. However, many people leave their crime prevention senses at home, when they head to the office. The Spokesman staff extends a friendly reminder to always bring your senses with you when you come to work.
